It also happens to be the MAK Solar Model Home, which you are free to tour while enjoying the ocean view!

The MAK home is very energy efficient, thus a smaller 15-panel system covers 70% of the electrical needs.  By using solar, the home is reducing the amount of CO2 emitted into the air by 4,637.5 lbs based on average CO2 emissions for U.S. electric generation.

Special considerations included moving the array 8 feet as the roof dips at the area that covers the balconies. The electrician “swapped out” an electrical panel to provide more breaker slots.

Lastly, the roof pitch was at a 45% angle that made the installation take 4 days as opposed to 2 and the staff was anchored-in with OSHA approved work harnesses.
