1 - Our Management – Erika and Mar

It’s no secret that the tone of a company is set by its leadership.  And, Erika Adelman, General Manager, and Mar Kelly are just that – leaders at the forefront of environmental science for some 18 years.  An officer and active committee leader of New Jersey’s Mid-Atlantic Solar Energy Industries Association, Mar's passion has been the environment since she was a child.

And, as people with “down home” sensibilities and caring personalities, Mar and Erika take every job “personally” - you will be in constant contact with them as they guide your project to completion both on and off-site.  What keeps our leaders awake at night is knowing that a client’s problem has not yet been solved.

2 - Our Team of Professionals – GE/BP/Evergreen Thinks We’re
      Worthy

Our expert team has convinced GE, BP and Evergreen to make us one of the largest authorized dealer of state-of-the-art solar products.  MAK's professional staff, led by Erika Adelman, environmental scientist and General Manager, Ted Grey and Marcus Conus, MAK Crew leaders, are trained by GE and BP and have been licensed building professionals for over 15 years on both residential and commercial projects.  Thus, our staff is knowledgeable in all facets of the installation process, from the home solar site assessment to the technical planning to the installation phase to the regulatory requirements.

Another benefit of having professionals in your home?  We are on time, courteous and, most importantly, we clean up after ourselves!

3 - Our Industry Track Record – No Joanny Come Lately

We’re not just a company that has popped up to take advantage of the new statutory incentives for solar energy.  MAK has been working in the environmental field for over 15 years.  In fact, from 1989 to 2000, MAK was the preferred environmental consulting firm for investors, banks and construction companies throughout the United States, including JP Morgan, Paine Webber Real Estate, GE Commercial Finance and Chase Manhattan Capital Markets.

In 2001, MAK’s environmental consulting arm moved to Aaron & Wright and MAK was free to focus full-time on what we care about most: solar and renewable energy.  MAK already has a track record in solar installations in north and central New Jersey, having completed 60
projects since Spring of 2004 and is adding to the list every month!

4 - Our GE, BP and Evergreen Materials – We’re the Largest
     Source in New Jersey

The GE Brilliance, BP Home Depot and Evergreen Solar Home Energy Systems are engineered to install quickly and reliably, providing years of automatic operation.  It includes everything you need in one complete package.  MAK is the lead company that warehouses GE, BP and Evergreen equipment in New Jersey.  Because  of MAK’s stellar record, manufacturers have agreed to ship us their state-of-the-art systems directly.  Unlike every other company in New Jersey, MAK does not deal with a middle person to sell us solar electric systems, so you will never have to wait for us to get your system in stock!

5 - Our Happy Customers – We Really Do Care

Let’s face it, it’s tough to get any customer service these days (unless you count a phone message as service…), much less good customer service.  And let’s also face that, with any project of this size, there is a big need for attentive client service.  Now, unless the person leading the company actually cares about making people happy and believes that this truly will make her company grow, you can bet that the focus will be strictly on selling, not serving.  With Erika and MAK, the focus is on you first. Your total, 100% satisfaction.

Happily, we’ve already completed a number of projects for homeowners in the New Jersey Area, and they have graciously provided us with our most convincing argument to date as to why you should choose MAK – their testimonials of how we took care of them.

6 - Our Process – We Make It Easy

We know that going solar is a commitment on your part of precious time and energy (not to mention money), and it’s our job to make this process go as smoothly and stress-free as possible. We are committed to do that through a tried and true project planning each step of the way.  To that end, we’ve taken on as much of the administrative and financial duties as we possibly can for you.  With this system in place, it typically will take from 30-45 days from your first contact during your MAK solar assessment to the completion and operation of your new solar energy system.

We take care of all the details as listed below:

þ Custom Layout & Design

þ Delivery

þ All Hardware

þ All Labor

þ All Required Permits

þ Utility Interconnection and Net Metering Agreement

þ Installation Inspection

7 - Our Financing - We've Arranged 100% of the Financing for You!

As you know, with government benefits comes:  (a) lots of paperwork and ( b) lots of waiting.  In order to make the process go as smoothly as possible for you, MAK: (a) does all the paperwork it can for you and (b) gives you the 50% payment towards your system while we wait for the government to cut us the check.  We’ve also worked out a financing plan so the other 50% is already taken care of if you qualify for the loan.  We’ve worked out a simple loan application and you’ll get your answer from the lender in a matter of days!!

8 - Tour a Solar House Before You Buy

MAK has many model solar houses that we will drive you to for a walk-through, so you can see how the solar panels are installed and you can ask any questions during the visit.  This way you can speak to the happy solar owner face to face.

9 - Our Free 5-Year Service ContractWe Stay With You

As a testimony to how reliable and maintenance-free we think the Solar Products are, we offer 5 years of free (yup, free…) checkups and maintenance.  MAK comes to your home for a solar check-up each year for five years to confirm that your system is operating optimally.  At the end of the five years, you may enter into an annual service contract with MAK or just call our Client Service Center and our technician will come to your home for an hourly fee.
